AI agent skills

What your connected AI assistant knows about your gym, and what you can ask it to do.

When you connect Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or another AI tool to Sessy, the server automatically shares built-in guides that teach the assistant how your gym works — your session types, locations, booking rules, and more. You do not need to paste long instructions or explain Sessy from scratch.

If you have not connected a tool yet, start with Connect AI agent.

What you can ask

Speak in plain language. These are examples — your wording can be different.

Schedule and manage classes

  • “Check next week’s schedule and add any missing classes.”
  • “Move tomorrow’s 6pm class to 7pm.”
  • “Cancel Friday’s noon session.”
  • “Assign [coach name] to Monday’s WOD.”
  • “Set up a recurring Tuesday/Thursday class at 18:00.”
  • “Schedule recurring sessions for [location] next week.”
  • “Fill next week’s timetable at Lumina Spa from the recurring schedule.”

Recurring weekly timetable

Sessy keeps two things separate (see Weekly schedule):

  • Recurring schedule — your standard weekly pattern (e.g. every Monday 6am WOD)
  • Session calendar — actual classes members can book

When you ask to schedule recurring sessions for a week, the assistant should use your recurring schedule — the same as Calendar → Batch actions → Schedule in the app — not copy an old week class by class. That avoids mistakes and MCP write limits (30 mutations per minute).

To remove a class from the recurring schedule, ask to delete that recurring template. That does not remove sessions already on the calendar — cancel those separately if needed.

For one-off extra classes that are not in the template, you can still ask to add or change a single session.

Book members

  • “Book [member name] into tomorrow’s 7am class.”
  • “Unbook [member name] from tonight’s session.”

The assistant follows the same subscription and capacity rules as when you book manually in the app.

Programming

  • “Set tomorrow’s programming — strength A, metcon B.”
  • “Copy last week’s Tuesday WOD to this Tuesday.”
  • “Program Fran on tomorrow’s 6pm class so members can log results.”

For result logging, the assistant must link a real workoutId from the workout library (global benchmarks like Fran/Murph, or a custom gym workout) — a text description alone is not enough.

Message members

  • “Send a push to everyone who trained today.”
  • “Notify all members about the holiday schedule.”
  • “Post a gym-wide banner about the open gym this Saturday.”
  • “Draft a newsletter about our summer challenge.”

Newsletter drafts must use HTML in the content field (headings, paragraphs, lists) — plain text shows up as one unformatted block in the editor. The assistant should format on the first try; see the newsletters skill for examples.

Mass messages to all members or publishing a newsletter are sensitive — only use AI tools you trust.

Member notes and tags

  • “Add a note on [member name]: needs scaling for squats.”
  • “Tag [member name] as competition team.”

Look things up

  • “Who trained together most often this month?”
  • “Show [member name]’s attendance for the last 30 days.”
  • “What was last month’s revenue?”
  • “What’s in the shop right now?”

Gym setup (Admins only)

With an Admin token, you can also ask for configuration changes:

  • “Add a new session type called Hyrox.”
  • “Create a 10-visit pass subscription.”
  • “Add a protein bar to the shop.”
  • “Define a member tag for foundations course.”

Employee tokens cannot change gym-wide settings (locations, session types, subscriptions, shop structure). Your Admin creates the token and chooses the access level.

How it knows what to do

Sessy ships guides for common tasks — scheduling, booking, messaging, programming, reports, and (for Admins) configuration. A capable AI client loads these when it connects, so the assistant already knows Sessy’s rules before you ask your first question.

You never need to memorize technical names. Just describe the outcome you want.

Tips

  • Be specific when it helps — dates, member names, and session times reduce back-and-forth.
  • Same rules as the app — unknown session types, full classes, and subscription mismatches are handled the same way as in Sessy.
  • Protect your token — anyone with it can act as you in the gym. Revoke it from Configuration → Sessy AI → External access (MCP) if it is lost.
